Polars

Polars is a Python package that provides a DataFrame library designed for high-performance data manipulation and analysis. Inspired by the popular pandas library, Polars offers a similar DataFrame API but is built from the ground up with a focus on speed and efficiency. It leverages Rust, a systems programming language, to achieve impressive performance gains, making it particularly well-suited for handling large datasets and complex data operations. On August 3rd, 2023, Polars announced its seed funding of US$4 million led by Bain Capital Ventures (BCV) with participation from individual investors. The funding will be used to expand the team, and build a compute platform to efficiently run Polars at any scale.
