As a Python developer, you are contacted by recruiters on a daily basis. But 99% of the time, for jobs at companies that are solely motivated by profit maximization. Companies that make the world a better place typically do not have the resources to hire a recruiter, and therefore you will not hear about these companies. This is a shame, because these companies are often working on projects that are more interesting and more impactful than the companies that do have the resources to hire a recruiter.
I wanted to turn this around and create an overview of companies* that I would consider "Good Companies". I'm developing a system that keeps track of job openings at these companies, and notifies me when a new job opening is posted. This way, I can be one of the first to apply for a job that I am interested in. I hope that this website will also help other Python developers to find companies that are working on projects that they are passionate about.
